Big Brothers Big Sisters Partners with Pizza Ranch for Community Impact Night

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -- It was a pizza party down at La Crosse's Pizza Ranch Thursday night.

The restaurant partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region for a community impact night.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nonprofit mentorship program.

The program matches adult volunteers with youth to help kids reach their potential.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Jeanne Meyer said events like this help bring awareness to the nonprofit and show people why working with the youth matters.

"It's about community, if were not investing in one of our biggest resources, which is children... they're our future," she said. "They're the ones that are going to be in charge and we want them to be able to develop healthy and make good choices."

Pizza Ranch donated 10% of the proceeds raised during the event to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
