Grandma Arta (my husband’s grandma), turned 105 in January. When asked what she wanted for her Birthday meal she quickly said, “a Pizza Ranch chicken dinner!” We jumped at the chance to serve her and the other residents at the local nursing home the Country’s Best Chicken from Pizza Ranch. Everyone was excited for the meal!
Many wonder how someone lives to be 105? Grandma Arta would jokingly say it’s mashed potatoes and coffee. However, I think her thankful attitude and positive approach to each day also contribute to her many years of blessing those around her.
Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart if filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”
