Wednesday Story of Impact - Wildwood Hills and Tulip Festival
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Every year there are Tulip Festivals held in cities across America and the world. The idea of Tulip Time as a festival started in 1927 at a Woman's Literary Club meeting in Holland, MI. Typically these festivals are held in cities/regions where the population has close ties or ancestry to the Netherlands.
Orange City, IA is the location of the Pizza Ranch restaurant support center or "headquarters". Orange City hosts one of the most celebrated Tulip Festival's in the country. Part of the festival is a parade where local and regional groups, clubs, bands, businesses, and more can perform for the thousands of onlookers. Pizza Ranch has their own version of a "float" for the parade. They partner with Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa to produce a horse-drawn covered wagon, and Western-dressed employees and family members of Pizza Ranch walk behind it in the parade. It is to highlight the unique Vision of Pizza Ranch, which is "To Glorify God by Positively Impacting the World", walking step-by-step with a longstanding ministry partner.
The Mission of Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa is: "Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa exists to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing healing, hope and God’s unconditional love to children and youth at risk."
We pray for God to bless the work of Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa, as well as Pizza Ranch. Both organizations exist to bring God glory.
