Consider the following six Bible passages regarding giving. Are you living in a way that would honor and glorify God with how you give? You can see in these verses that giving is very important to Jesus, the One who gave all for us.

Luke 8:3 (Give from your own means) "these women were helping to support them out of their own means"

Luke 9:3 (Give your possessions away) “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt."

Luke 10:35 (Give out of compassion) "He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him."

Luke 12:15-21 (Give instead of saving abundance) “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Luke 18:22 (Give to the poor) "When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Luke 21:1-4 (Give out of riches or poverty...give) "As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins."
