Let's be honest; we all like to be valued and know we belong. Do you know how you most like to be shown appreciation? Do you know the appreciation language of your closest family and friends? When was the last time you showed them they are appreciated?

Each of us have preferred ways to be shown appreciation; typically put into 1 of 4 buckets: Words, Time, Service or Gifts. Work to identify what the appreciation language is for those closest to you and then show them appreciation. If Words write them a little note or get them a card expressing what they mean to you. If Time is their language grab a lunch or coffee together. If Service, offer to help come tackle some chores around the house. If Gifts look to pick them up something that you know they will cherish.
