Monday Mission - Beauty in Every Season
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Does this image look like what you've been facing lately? For many of us in the Midwest we've literally been facing lots of snow covered roads this winter. Straining our eyes to find the road or looking for a car ahead to show us the way. Wishing our tires were gripping a little tighter to the pavement but prevented by the barrier of ice and snow. Or maybe stuck at home waiting for the snow plow to come dig us out so we can travel the roads again. Sometimes the road of life we wander on can do the same thing to us. We can get hit in a season of uncertainty, feeling like something is slipping away or the path ahead just isn't very clear. We want to move in the right direction more quickly but God says, "slow down and go at my pace today. Let me lead you on the path. The path may not always be clear, but I will guide you." This week make it your mission to slow down and let God lead you on the path. Especially if you're feeling nervous or unsure about what lies ahead. Trust that God has a plan for you and regardless of how hard it is to see the road, there is still beauty around you. Did you notice the trees on the picture? Perfectly blanketed in pure white snow. Standing tall and majestic. Beautifully created and pointed to the heavens. God has beauty for you in every season, even the seasons where the road is hard to see. Find the beauty in whatever season of life you're in today.
Psalm 43:3 Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.
