Monday Mission – Faithful Follow-Through
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
A sentiment that has been on my heart for a few days is that God is a good and faithful God. We see this again and again in Scripture; in the Old Testament, God continues to pull the Israelites out of the muck even when they repeatedly disobey God. They cry out to God for forgiveness and repent, and God is faithful to intervene and save them. We see this in the New Testament through the redeeming work of Jesus on the cross – He was faithful in following through on the greatest plan of redemption that will ever be told.
My mission for us today is what can we be faithful in following through on? Maybe it’s a promise to call a friend but life has been busy. Maybe it’s that meal for your family that you’ve been talking about making, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Maybe it’s to open your Bible and see what God has for you today, even if it’s been awhile. Or maybe it’s to trust that today…. Today God is good. Today God is faithful. Even in the dark and the silence, you choose to trust.
Friend wherever you’re at – I pray that God meets you there. He is faithful.
2 Timothy 2:13 – If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.
