The four weeks leading up to Christmas are known as "advent season" for Christians across the world. Each week signifies a different theme or focus as Christians prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The first week of advent was this week, and the theme for week 1 is "Hope".

Hope is such a core element to the faith of all Christian believers. No matter where we go, of what our circumstances are we can put our hope in the truth of Jesus Christ. That He has been our full propitiation for the punishment that we deserve.
