Take a moment to think about the last time someone gave you a compliment. How did it make you feel? Did it make you smile? Did it brighten your day? It’s crazy to think about how just a heartfelt sentence or two can change someone’s bad attitude or give them confidence as they go about their day.

We see several times in Paul’s letters to the early churches reminders to encourage one another.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 “Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Your Monday Mission is to take a few minutes to encourage someone around you. Whether it is writing a note to a family member, buying coffee for a friend, or texting a kind word to a co-worker who is overwhelmed, take some time to bless and encourage those around you.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:24-25
