Monday Mission - What To Do When You Don't Know What To Do
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
There are never any obvious answers to the immediate issues we face and what the future holds. We should not sit idle and wait for resolution, we should continue to lift our burdens to God in prayer.
It is pretty amazing how the prayers of King David in Psalm 25 can still be used for present day events.
In Verse 4 he says “Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.”
This verse is a crucial prayer for clarity in leadership whether you are leading a whole company or are just leading of your household.
As the passage goes on, he prays in Verse 16-18: “Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins.”
David has no idea what will happen next for him, or what to do. But he trusts God to help him bear the weight of his struggles.
