My son is learning how to use his Bible, so I thought I'd share some of the interesting facts that we've been talking about lately.

Did you know the Bible is separated into 2 parts, the Old and New Testaments? Each of those parts are broken down into books. 39 books are in the Old Testament and 27 books are in the New Testament, totaling 66 in all.

We still don't know the real number of human authors who wrote all of the books. Around 40 people is the common answer, and we know that all scripture is the inspired words of God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The original books were written on scrolls as the technology of print and books had not yet been developed.

The scrolls did not include book and verse numbers. Those were added later on to help us as references.
