Thursday Thoughts - Stirring Your Heart
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Is the Lord stirring your heart?
You may have had (or perhaps are currently) moments in your life where you feel compelled to act, an overwhelming sense that you need to take action, make a change, or speak certain words to a close friend. These moments don't come by random chance, these moments are a gift from God, it is the Spirit showing you the path to walk. We see throughout the Bible how the Lord will stir the heart of His people to see out His Will.
Exodus 36:2 - "And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work."
Ezra 1:1 - "In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing"
Judges 13:25 - "And the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him (Samson) in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol"
Question for you is, how has your heart been stirred lately? Are you being called to take action?
