Thursday Thoughts - “Wherever you are, BE THERE”
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

When I was in my early 20’s, and just a few years into one of my first leadership roles, I had the pleasure of working with a mentor who would always say to my team and I “Wherever you are, BE THERE.”
The intent was to remind us to truly be present with our guests and our team, and to genuinely listen to their needs …instead of only half listening and instead thinking of our response to them. I found on many occasions that the act of simply being present was far more important to the person I was interacting with than any solution I could provide. I also found from a personal standpoint, my stress levels decreased dramatically, and work became so much more enjoyable!
So in the spirit of this week of Thanksgiving, I’m focusing this week on “BEING THERE”, and being truly present with those around me. Both at work, at home, and as I spend the holiday with my extended family.
I hope you are also able to make time this Thanksgiving holiday to truly BE THERE and enjoy those around you. Happy Thanksgiving!
