So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Tuesday Truths
1932 Lighthouse on the Kauai coast

I love lighthouses and had the opportunity to take a short hike to this one last week. The word "Lighthouse" is mentioned zero times in the Bible but I would imagine that if lighthouses were functioning in Jesus time he would have a fun metaphor or story about them. The purpose of the lighthouse is simple. Stand firm, shine brightly and communicate a message to those navigating the treacherous waters of the ocean. Without saying a word the lighthouse could warn sailors, tell them to beware of rocky cliffs, or guide them safely into the port they're looking for. This reminds me of how God works in our life. God can warn us of a danger, caution us to be careful or guide to into safety. All this through his light that shines brightly. But to benefit we need to be close enough to see what he's telling us. God's unchanging presence and light can be counted on. God is more reliable than a lighthouse and wants to communicate with you as you journey through this life. Stay close to God and look to him for direction and protection.
