We looked at Genesis 22:1-19 yesterday. The verse that stood out to me was verse 8, when Isaac asked his father, "But where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son," Abraham replied. And they continued up the mountain together. Abraham was confident that God would provide; he just didn't know how.

Last week, my son had swimmer's ear for three days and was unable to sleep through the night due to the pain. So, one night, we prayed for healing and rest for that particular night. I reminded him of what he had heard at church about how God will provide in times of need if we pray to him. His ear felt better that night, and he was able to sleep through the night. Reach out to God in your time of need.
