Have you ever found yourself in constant prayer, asking for God’s help to overcome a circumstance? Maybe it is a life situation that you can not seem to overcome. Perhaps it’s a prayer you have been longing for such as healing a disease or mending a marriage.
In the book of Daniel, chapter 3 there were three famous men by the names of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were defiant in bowing down to worldly idols & as a result were sentenced to death. The certainly did not wish to perish, and they prayed & hoped that God would take this trial away from them. They declared that even,
"17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
I don't know what your 'blazing furnace' is, but even though God may not answer your prayer how you may hope - he is still good. He is always by your side, even in the fiery flames of your trials.
