Here we are, one of my favorite weeks of the year…. THANKSGIVING!
As a foodie, there is SO MUCH to love about the holiday.
As a perfectionist (a BIG shout out to you Enneagram Type One’s out there like me!) there is SO MUCH to accomplish…and so much to be stressed about.
As I write this, we are officially 9 days away from the big day…and just like every year, I need a pep talk to make peace with my need to execute a perfect holiday and to give myself some grace. I wanted to share a few quotes (some spiritual, some just entertaining) to help everyone out there, including me, to make some peace this year with the expectation of perfection. After all, the ONLY perfect person ever has been our lord, Jesus Christ.
“Surely there is not a righteous man on earth that does good and never sins.” Ec 7:20
“Don’t let perfection be the enemy of excellence.” Jaques Pepin
“For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle his whole body.” James 3:2
“So the pie isn’t perfect? Cut it into wedges. Stay in control and never panic.” -Martha Stewart
