Tuesday Truths - Stained Glass
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
I recently heard an interesting correlation of how our souls are like stained glass. We are broken shards of glass, from all the hurts and pains brought on by this sinful world. Healing is achieved by union with Jesus. He is the lead that bonds the pieces of glass to form a whole piece, once again. Counseling and therapy are great tools for healing, but not necessary or even possible for some. For ultimate healing, we just need to cry out to God. Don’t run away from the hurt but walk towards it while asking Jesus to meet you there. You don’t have to understand the why of it all, just know that Jesus loves you and can and will heal. Through union with Jesus, you will be once again be made into a beautiful masterpiece.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;
