Back in March when the whole world turned upside down everyone had to get creative in keeping things moving. Businesses were forced to shutdown, people pushed into situations they wanted no part of. The good thing about scenarios like this is it can bring out the best in people.
The Team at the Oelwein Pizza Ranch was only open for Carry-Out & Delivery during this time and as guests would come through to pick up their order many would leave an additional $20 or so saying "keep your doors open". Rather than take these funds for themselves the Oelwein Team decided to "pay it forward". They took these funds, matching with their own and turned these into gift cards to hand out in their community. They would give them out at the Hospital, Nursing Homes, Grocery Stores, City Workers, and others that were on the front-lines. In talking with the Ownership Group in Oelwein it is very apparent that this act of kindness wasn't to gain popularity additional sales, but very simply "because it's the right thing to do". In times like this we need to group together and keep pushing as one. The Oelwein Pizza Ranch was a living example of this.
