Friday Devotional- The Promise of Forgiveness
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Forgiveness is one of the great promises from God to those who believe and follow Jesus. It’s found throughout the Bible. 1 John 1:9 is just one of the many examples. It says, “If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.” Or, Psalms 103:12which says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has HE removed our sins from us.” In regards to forgiveness, the Bible says:
- God is merciful
- God shows compassion
- God withholds what we deserve
- God cast our sins into the depths of the sea
- God pardons us
Because of Jesus, We are declared not guilty. Praise the Lord. May He be glorified.
