Are you living a life that is passionate or one that is lukewarm for Jesus Christ?

That's the question we're asking today. Our Couples club from church is going through a study from Francis Chan called Living Crazy Love. A recent chapter we went through was all about self-evaluation, about really diving deep to identify if you truly live for Jesus or if the distractions of this world put you more as a lukewarm follower. It's an uncomfortable discussion, but one that is absolutely necessary for believers.

In 2 Corinthians 13:5 Paul tells us to "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves."

In this book, Francis Chan refers to two parables found in Matthew 13: 44-46 that help give us an idea on how we should pursue the Kingdom of God.

"In these stories we are taught to pursue the kingdom of heaven with everything we have. God and his Kingdom are worth more than anything we can possibly imagine or cling to. Giving up everything we love should be a joyful prospect in light of the incomparable greatness of what we find in God Himself. These parables are easy to understand, but do they accurately describe your pursuit of God and his Kingdom?" (Chan, 2011)
