It's been a year of trials, a year of anxiousness, fear and anger. In the middle of this it's easy to lash out at others, or not show the same patience we would've shown without those outside pressures. That type of behavior is the easy way out, easy to justify and easy to follow through on our emotions. However, instead of reacting we should respond thoughtfully; working to build others up around us at the same time. Adding more pressures or anxiousness isn't the cure.
When you are feeling those outside pressures, when those feelings lead you to perhaps act differently remember the words from Colossians 3:12 : "12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."
