Monday Mission - Spring Renewal
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Today is the first day of April. While it is best known as April Fool’s Day, here on the blog I want us to think about it as the first day of Spring Renewal. No matter the weather on April 1st, I always view it as the first month of Spring and therefore it holds a lot of optimism for warmer temperatures, outside walks, longer days and the first signs of leaves on trees and flower blooming.
The Bible has much to say about God and His creation of nature, but also how nature itself worships God as Lord.
Psalm 96:11-12 says “Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
As we enter the month of April, let’s allow nature to remind us of the renewal and goodness of God. He is continually working in our lives, but sometimes it’s easy to take His work for granted. When you see a leaf budding or a flower’s greenery popping through the soil, take a moment to thank God for how He is always at work, even in the darkness of the soil – the sun will come and so will beauty, all according to God’s plan.
