Thursday Thought - Masterpiece
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
There are some things that take your breath away... and make you ponder God's greatness! One of those moments for me is when in an airplane. Just look at God's creation!
At the moment I took this photo, a hymn popped into my head, one many people know:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
"The Doxology" - Thomas Ken, 1674.
What a wonderful masterpiece!
Think about creation. Are there places that you have been that have taken your breath away? Maybe it was standing beside a giant Redwood Tree in California... or looking across the Columbia Gorge in Oregon. Or even while boating on one of MN 10,000 lakes... or while driving down the rolling hills in Iowa... a masterpiece...
Or think about being at a concert of your favorite musical artist or band... an art exhibit... planting in a community garden... reading a book by your favorite author... eating a slice of your favorite pizza... all masterpieces... all of them speak to us in different ways!
It doesn't matter what your creative expression is: cooking, painting, drawing, knitting, cleaning, building, sculpting, singing, writing, etc. All of them can be used to connect with and serve the people around us... and our Heavenly Father... our Creator!
