It is easy as a sinful human to have harmful pride, get defensive when our ideas are challenged, or work to put other people down. And that is just the start of some of our issues when we are sinful.

However, for the believers in Jesus Christ we are called to NOT do those things with each other.

In Ephesians chapter 4, Paul outlines several ways that believers are supposed to work towards unity, not against each other. Here are some examples:

• verse 1: "..urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling..."
• verse 2: "..with all humility"
• verse 2: "...with all gentleness"
• verse 2: "...with patience"
• verse 2: "...bearing with one another in love."
• verse 3: "...be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit."
• verse 13: "...until WE ALL attain to the UNITY of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God"
