Tuesday Truths - Remember to Return
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Returning to God is always an option. This week we'll continue our focus on the story of the Prodigal Son found in Luke 15:11-32. Such a beautiful story of God's love for us even after our mistakes and our wandering ways. Yesterday we looked at our role in celebrating those that return. But what if you're the one that's lost and wondering where to go? The son in this story remembered his homeplace and longed to return even though he didn't know how his family would respond. This story tells us how our Heavenly Father will respond when we return. We'll be welcomed back with open arms. God already knows your failures and shortcomings. Return, lay those shortcomings and mistakes at the feet of Jesus. Come humble and be restored to a God that wants a relationship with you. Enjoy peace, wrapped in the arms of a loving Savior and be forgiven and restored as a Child of God.
