Jesus calls us to be different.
What does God want you to be?
Brave and Courageous or Protected by His Shield?
Humble or Bold?
Servant or Leader?
Like Mary who “pondered things in her heart” or like David who “rejoiced in the streets after great victories?”
I believe he wants us to be all these things, just as he was all these things while he walked this earth. He was the perfect example of how to live a life dedicated to serving the Father. How we serve God each day can, and should, look different depending on our circumstances and how we’re led by Christ to respond. Seek Jesus every day and see what he wants from you. Sometimes these attributes may even be mixed throughout our days. I may serve my co-workers and lead my children or even the other way around. I may lead my team and serve my family. Sometimes God is our Shield other times he calls us to be brave and take a stand. All can be God honoring.
Psalm 143:8-10 8 Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. 9 Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I run to you to hide me. 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
