Wednesday Story of Impact – Joy of Christmas

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Wednesday Stories of Impact

The Holidays are a wonderful time of year to celebrate with family & friends. But for many the holiday season can feel heavy and difficult. For those experiences the loss of loved ones, for those struggling to make ends meet, or for those who have strained relationships with their families, the holidays can be a difficult time.

The third Advent candle is the candle of Joy! We light this candle to remember that even in the hardships of this life, Christ has come to save us from our sins and for that we have eternal joy. As the angels proclaimed to the shepherds on the night of Christ’s birth “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:10-11) Christ’s birth is a source of GREAT JOY!

The Pizza Ranch Marketing Team had the opportunity to spread some love & joy this holiday season by taking time away to serve at a local non-profit in the area. The team of 14 headed to Sioux Center to serve at Atlas. They spent the morning helping organize and clean at the organization's thrift store – the Second Chance Depot. In the afternoon the crew helped with wrapping gifts for some families in need, raking leaves, and grocery shopping. Overall, the team enjoyed serving together and being a blessing to those in need.
