Wednesday Story of Impact – Prayer Requests

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

I’ve always felt like the Pizza Ranch Support Center is a special place to work for a lot of reasons. I get along with pretty everyone here, have a great team I get to work with every day and (because #honesty) there’s usually some sort of pizza or other snacks in the breakroom.

But one of my favorite things about working at the Support Center is how there’s a team that I get to be part of that prays. The team is called Barnabas after the apostle Barnabas – he was an encourager of people. And that’s what this team gets to do – encourage others through posts on this blog, help lead staff devotions as needed and pray over prayer requests.

If you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you’ll see a red button that says, “Send in a prayer request.” When someone clicks that, a screen comes up where they can include their name, email for responses and space to type in the prayer request.

When that prayer request is submitted, it goes to the Barnabas team. We meet every Tuesday morning to pray over the prayer requests. Each prayer request gets a personal response, and we will keep that prayer request on the active list as long as needed. We follow-up with the submitters for updates as well.

I’m grateful to work at a company that so deeply values the power of prayer and how we as Christ-followers can offer a way to lift up others through prayer.
