Tuesday Truths - Thankfulness abounds!
Content Provided by Jenna Finkenhoefer I’m so grateful to be able to contribute to PR serves and was especially excited to contribute on the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, I really was challenged with finding inspiration….so, I leaned into my Pizza Ranch Family, and asked several people to share what they were most thankful for this holiday season. The responses I received truly made me realize what an incredible team we are at Pizza Ranch. So, this year I’m most thankful for the wonderful people I work with- you truly make every day a blessing. I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I did! More to come later this week! “I am thankful for my family, and having a roof over my head, and a full heart and pantry.”
Monday Mission - “Don’t be a “MARTHA”
Content provided by Jenna Finkenhoefer “Don’t be a “MARTHA” (Unless, of course, your name is Martha) I’m sure you are familiar with the story of Martha and Mary (Luke 10: 38-42). Each time I hear the story of Mary and Martha, especially the week of Thanksgiving, when my plate is literally overflowing with tasks to complete prior to the holiday, I can completely relate to Martha, and can appreciate her frustration with her sister Mary. “What the heck Mary? Can’t you see I’m busy here?!”
Friday Devotional - Esther
The book of Esther is full of many examples of leadership, drama, conflict, and redemption. One thing to look at is the character qualities…
Thursday Thought - The Vastness of God
One of the things I love most about Iowa is all of our farmland and the beauty that it displays no matter the time of the year. While I grew up in Kansas City (very different than Orange City), all of my grandparents and much of my extended family lived in Northern Iowa and lived on farms.
Wednesday Story of Impact - Firetruck Deliveries
What is better than a team of local firefighters pulling up in front of your house in their firetruck to deliver your Pizza Ranch delivery order to your son? Answer : NOTHING.
Tuesday Truth – Bravery in Brokenness
At church, we are starting a new series on the book of Ruth. The first message was titled “Bravery in Brokenness” and the pastor talked about chapter 1 only. If you need a refresher on the story of Ruth, it’s a wonderful account of how God is providential in His timing and how He provides for His people in unexpected ways, even in the midst of tragedy.
Monday Mission – Pray for Missionaries
This week Pizza Ranch has a team of 29 people in Jamaica, working alongside a group of local people there on several different projects. For almost a decade now, we have partnered with this same group of people, building relationships with many locals, loving on them and their families, and helping with construction and other community enhancement projects.
Friday Devotional – A Pure Heart
We’ve been slowly walking through the Book of Psalms, and this week we’re looking at (Psalm 51). The Psalms do such a great job of talking about the topics and emotions we most often deal with in life.
Thursday Thoughts - No Tomorrow
"We are left with silent sorrow No tomorrow. Lost, unknown Until You hear me screaming out now For Your love, for Your love, Your love

Tuesday Truth - Bind the Word of God
Some Orthodox Jews would wear a black leather box, called a tefillin, just above their forehead fastened to their head with a leather band. Inside the box they would put the scrolls of the Word of God. It was their way applying a command form the Law, Deuteronomy 11:18, “You shall bind them…as a sign upon your forehead.” This is done as an outward observance, but in looking deeper this can change your life and mind.
