At our Thursday morning prayer time here at the Pizza Ranch Corp Offices we talked about remembering. We thought this was a good topic as we just crossed our one year anniversary of COVID hitting the chain. Do you ever have it where you hear a song, or a Bible verse, smell a fragrance, or pass a landmark and it immediately takes you back to a time in the past. It is funny how some things really trigger our memories to those big events in our life.

I listened to a podcast last week by Christine Caine about how God’s promises don’t have an expiration date. She gave a real-life example about how if your passport expires, then you don’t get to board a plane and get to your destination; you’re left out/behind.

On Wednesdays, we often feature stories of Pizza Ranch restaurants, franchisees, managers and team members making an impact in their communities. This week, however, it was a team member who was blessed by her guests.

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries for tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. I’m working through a reading plan where you read the New Testament in a year and right now I’m reading through the Gospels. One thing that has jumped off the pages to me lately is how many times you see the phrase “Jesus had compassion” for the people around him.

We’ve been working through the Old Testament looking for the New Testament Jesus hundreds, even thousands, of years before He was born. They’re all great stories on their own, but they absolutely paint a picture of who Jesus will be and what he’ll do for those who believe.
