One of my favorite things about summer is that it stays light out longer. I enjoy being able to be outside in the evenings, either going for a walk or even just having light streaming into the house. It makes sense to me that God refers to his kingdom as one of light.

I don’t know about you, but in Orange City, Iowa, it feels like Spring has arrived almost overnight. Saturday was filled with a soaking rain all day and today the sun is shining. All of the grass in town is a bright spring green.

If you are anything like me you are constantly comparing yourself against how you should be living, hearing the Spirit nudge you each time…

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."

As we continue through Holy Week maybe one of the best things we can be reminded of is that Jesus came to save sinners.…

God's Word never returns without having fulfilled its purpose. This promise from Isaiah 55:11 gives me much hope and comfort as I reengage in Scripture. As I continue to dive deeper into The Word, God continues to use His Words to make an impact in my life.

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
