God's creation is good. Always has been and always will be. Today, January 12, is a special day in our house. It's our middle child's 16th Birthday.

Does this image look like what you've been facing lately? For many of us in the Midwest we've literally been facing lots of snow covered roads this winter. Straining our eyes to find the road or looking for a car ahead to show us the way. Wishing our tires were gripping a little tighter to the pavement but prevented by the barrier of ice and snow.

We’ve been slowly walking through the Book of Psalms, and this week we’re looking at Psalms 31:19-24. Psalms does such a great job of hitting about every topic and every emotion there is. It’s the book in my life that has been the most relatable to me over the years.

We’ve spent the last few days talking about getting the New Year off to a positive start and a few ways to do that. I believe in counting your blessings, intentionally practicing gratitude and looking for the unexpected ways that God moves in our midst.
