2020 was a year that many people developed heart issues due to COVID-19.

A great reminder of God's love for us.

We all could use a helping hand from time to time.

A blog I read (listed below) talks about how life can be really hard sometimes and that in the Bible, ashes symbolize deep repentance and grief. There’s plenty of examples in the Bible about God’s people who experience hardship, yet God redeems their experiences (i.e., Job, Daniel, etc.).

In the book of Philippians,  the Apostle Paul writes, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” What an inspirational and encouraging text.

On Monday night, Yankton Fire and Yankton Police did their annual Battle of the Badges. With the Pizza Ranch wing launch set for February first it was only fitting for the Yankton Pizza Ranch host the two departments to put our wings to the test.

I don't know about you, but the last few weeks have felt like a grind. Maybe it is the post holiday blues, or my fading New Year's resolutions, or maybe the winter snow that keeps falling. Either way I have been feeling down. A book I've recently finished, In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day, has challenged me in many ways to reframe the way I think about life.

Take 3 minutes this morning and slowly read through Psalm 74, pondering all the events of the last year. Amazing how, even thousands of years…

What do you rely on to tell you what direction to go? For many of us maps have been replaced with smartphones and it's so easy to plug in an address and be on our way.

Anyone looking forward to being back together with family, friends, and fellow worshipers of Jesus? I know our family is! One of the events we missed last year was RiseFest in Sheldon, IA.
