I don’t know about you, when I think of the Holidays peace is not often the first word that jumps to mind. In a busy season of life racing from church Christmas programs to work holiday parties and family gatherings, peaceful isn’t how I would pick to describe my month of December.

This week we are going to walk through the Advent candles with each blog post. Today we start with the first advent candle which focuses on Hope.

Sometimes we just need to be encouraged and let the Word of God speak on its own.  Here are just a few benefits of being a believer/follower of Jesus:

Sometimes, in the month of December, it is easy to get caught up in the gifts and distractions of the holiday season. It can also be easy to allow the distractions to keep us from focusing on what the Christmas season is truly about.
